INTEGRATIVE DESIGN (ID)

Summary.  ID for green buildings and communities brings together all of the professionals in the design and construction process at the beginning and at several other key parts of the process to develop an effective design and verify it.  ID changes the traditional linear process to one that's integrated.

ID evolved during the early stages of green building development to meet the need of achieving a desired level of green building certification, for example, platinum or gold.  With ID, platinum, gold and other certification can be achieved much more cheaply and efficiently.

ID saves at least 1% in construction costs and more in operations, thus the entire construction industry is moving toward its adoption.  Green Buildings using ID receive higher underwriting scores documenting increased cash flow and reduced expenses.
